  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Traci. I'm a Registered Nurse who loves quilting, knitting, cross stitch, and the great outdoors. In my pre-scrubs life, I owned Real Photography, and you can still see my old wedding and portrait photography site here .

I've created a map that shows links to our camping/hiking/general family fun review posts that you can find here. It's pretty much the coolest thing on this site. Thanks, Google!

I great big puffy heart *love* comments, so please let me know you visited! I try to always reply!

a quilt for my goddaughter!

My very first godbaby is expected next month, and so a quilt was most certainly in order!  It’s back with me right now to get its label, so I remembered to grab a picture of it this time!  I used the charm pack quilt pattern from Oh Fransson and the Just Wing It line from Moda.

I really like the quilting on this one–the wavy lines were fun to do and I love the way it really allowed the quilt to crinkle.  It feels really nice to hold!

Dolores - Another pretty quilt. You’ve got such a great eye for colour, I love the solids you’ve chosen.

AJ - Lovely quilt! Well done!

Lauren - The bold colors you selected are really great. The stripes of color make me think of ribbons. I hope she treasures it for years to come!

Susanne - AW!!! How lucky that baby will be to have YOU as a Godmother!!! She’s going to have the most unique and BEST gifts on all of those special occasions!! : D

Chrystal - This is a sweet little quilt! I started to make a blanket with this pattern but so far I just have the rows pieced together, using a couple It’s a Hoot charm packs. I like how you added solids, I might have to modify mine 🙂

Deb - What a lucky little lady to receive such a pretty quilt. I made a quilt very similar to that for my son for his first birthday; he’s snuggled on top of it (notice he’s not ‘under it’… silly boy!) right now in his crib!
