  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Traci. I'm a Registered Nurse who loves quilting, knitting, cross stitch, and the great outdoors. In my pre-scrubs life, I owned Real Photography, and you can still see my old wedding and portrait photography site here .

I've created a map that shows links to our camping/hiking/general family fun review posts that you can find here. It's pretty much the coolest thing on this site. Thanks, Google!

I great big puffy heart *love* comments, so please let me know you visited! I try to always reply!

“Let’s go find the octopus Grandpa T-Bone!”

“But you can’t breathe, Grandpa T-Bone!”

“Who are those greenies, Grandpa T-Bone!”

“LOOK OUT!”

“Where is the octopus?  I think it’s on top of the rock where Daddy is.  You’ve got to swim over to Daddy!”

Some of the things I’ve overheard in the last 20 seconds.  Nic is playing World of Warcraft with his dad, who is in Seattle.  Will is standing on Nic’s chair, holding onto Nic’s neck, shouting into Nic’s microphone and listening to Grandpa T-Bone’s replies on the computer speakers.  Three generations of boys all engaged in some octopus slaying.

It’s crazy adorable…and even more than that, IT’S THE FUTURE!!!!!  Remember that awesome ride at Epcot inside the big giant golf ball (yes, I know that I’m the only person that thinks that ride is awesome, but humor me)?  Remember how it used to show a future in which an american kid and a chinese kid played checkers together?  I thought that it was totally ridiculous and could never possibly happen.  And here I am, not even 30, AND IT’S HAPPENING!
