  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Traci. I'm a Registered Nurse who loves quilting, knitting, cross stitch, and the great outdoors. In my pre-scrubs life, I owned Real Photography, and you can still see my old wedding and portrait photography site here .

I've created a map that shows links to our camping/hiking/general family fun review posts that you can find here. It's pretty much the coolest thing on this site. Thanks, Google!

I great big puffy heart *love* comments, so please let me know you visited! I try to always reply!

In the five hours since my last post on this subject…

…Ellie has twice sneezed and brought down the tip of yet more blades of grass.  That makes 3.  One of them was 4 inches long.  I’m pretty concerned that there is more up there.

I’m listening to This American Life while I edit, and they did a clip about Disneyland.  They played the When You Wish Upon a Star tune and I got chills.  That place is so magical, even the hairs on my arms know it.

I brought Ellie inside from playing with Will and she was a mess.  Fussy, eyes red and watering, nose running, sneezing.  I think “great.  she has grass allergies, too.”

I feed her lunch and she’s sneezing, rubbing her nose/eyes, just miserable.  And then one sneeze brings down the tip of a piece of grass.  I pull on it and TWO INCHES OF GRASS come out of her nose.  Not crumpled at all—it was up there length-wise.

So maybe she doesn’t have grass allergies.  Maybe she just isn’t able to, you know, shove a 2 inch blade of grass up her nose without consequences.
