(Whew!  The blog is way out of date, so I’ve been trying to be a better blogger and get some of these backlogged sessions uploaded tonight!  We are still swamped with getting caught up on weddings, albums, orders and our recent move, so thanks for hanging in there while the blog was gathering dust!)

It’s no secret that I’m a giant lover of newborns and babies.  (It’s a good month if I can avoid being called a baby hog at our monthly cooking club.)  So having a job where I get to see new babies?  It’s like heaven!  I actually had the honor of photographing Gavin’s birth, so I have seen him even littler than this!  He is so precious and tiny, and he was my best newborn yet–he slept perfectly the whole time, no matter how I moved him around!

The shot on the right through the door is one of my most favorites ever–it reminds me so much of being a new mom and all those cozy private snuggles you get to share with your baby!  (And then they grow up and shout things like “JUST HUMOR ME.”)

Iliana and Freddy have my gratitude for being super flexible the day of their shoot.  I got a call early that morning that a birth I’ve been waiting to photograph was under way, so I contacted Iliana (and was shocked that she was checking her email/texts at such an hour) and she was completely gracious about moving the shoot by a few hours.  It was a wild day and I’m so grateful to Iliana and Freddy for making it possible for me to photograph both!  Here are just a few of my favorites from their engagement portrait shoot!  Get used to seeing these two–their wedding is next week so we’ll be showing their wedding pictures here before much longer!

Adrienne and Paul got a little surprise on their wedding day–snow!  They handled it so well.  They rolled with the forecast and made plans so that instead of detracting from the wedding, the snow made it even better!  Adrienne had a fur shawl rush ordered, moved the ceremony indoors,  and added a hot chocolate bar for their guests.  We were so impressed with their flexibility and ability to make lemonade from lemons (or in this case, hot chocolate from a snow day)!

Check out Adrienne’s adorable red heels!  (And how perfect was the color scheme for a snowy wedding?!!)

I know they had planned an outdoor ceremony, but the indoor ceremony was gorgeous–Willow Ridge Manor did an amazing job of transforming the space from ceremony site to reception site in record time!  (And twinkle lights never hurt!!)

Adrienne and Paul, thanks so much for sharing your day with us and for being so laid back and easy to work with–we loved spending the day with you!

Behind the scenes stuff…me on the left, and our contribution to Adrienne and Paul’s guest book quilt on the right–I LOVE the idea of a guest book quilt!  (Not to brag, but my stick figures are totally famous in my family.  They’ve got a real Traci Original there. :P )
