Mary and Dave were married three weeks ago at The Club at Flying Horse here in Colorado Springs.  (We do love Colorado Springs weddings!)

Mary is as cute as they come–just look at her face as she saw Dave for the first time that day!

We have dealt with rain at most of our weddings this summer, and it was perfect that Mary and Dave opted to see each other before the ceremony–we got to do portraits before the storm set in!

See what I mean?!  Mary is SO PRETTY!!

We got to take a few photos in the Flying Horse’s wine cellar tower.  We were all pretty excited to be in the air conditioning that day!

David’s daughter was the cutest flower girl ever!

Mary was great about the rain and everyone switched to Plan B.  The ceremony spot was moved under cover and there was a great cozy feel to it!

Mary and Dave had the biggest candy buffet I have ever seen!  (It was like looking at heaven for a candy nut like me.)  She left nothing out (check out the adorable take-out boxes for the guests to put their candy in) and at the end of the night there was still a TON of candy left!

So of course we had to do some candy ring shots!

Thanks so much Mary and David!  We are so glad you shared your day with us–it was an honor to photograph your wedding!  We hope you love the pictures!

On an unrelated note, we’ve added a new fun feature to the blog–at the end of every post you’ll see icons that allow you to email the post, share it on facebook, or link to it on twitter.  This works retroactively, too, so if you want to post your sneak peek to your facebook profile, you are welcome to do so!  It even lets you pick the image you want to use at the thumbnail.  (Oooooh how I love Facebook!)

Bailey and Ian rocked some gorgeous light earlier this month at Wash Park.  I’ve been wanting to play with this tree (a complete favorite among portrait photographers) for a while!  Of course, I didn’t know that the tree was also a favorite resting spot for bees…one of whom saw fit to give me my first ever bee sting.  (And holy COW does that hurt!!!  Poor Bailey and Ian must think they have the biggest sissy for a photographer!)

How cute are they?!

My favorite…

I love this one, too!  It’s so rare to get great REAL lens flare from today’s pro lenses (they’re designed to avoid flare), so when you do, it’s an extra special treat!

Their wedding is in September, so get ready for some more photos of this beautiful couple in a couple of months!

Melissa and Dustin’s wedding was SO MUCH FUN.  We love them, and it was obviously a sentiment shared by everyone at the wedding!  I have no idea where everyone got their energy, but they managed to dance and dance and dance WAY past the normal point of collapse!  It’s safe to say that Melissa danced her pants off…or at least her dress.  By the end of the night her dress had “pockets” and a whole new layer in the underskirt!  It was like a trash the dress photo shoot…on the wedding day!  And THAT is fun!

Danica of Make-Up Envy provided the beautiful make-up!

You know how we love happy brides?  WE LOVE HAPPY GROOMS, TOO!

How cute is Melissa?!

Here comes that dancing!

Melissa’s family has a tradition of hugging a balloon and then sending it to heaven to remember Melissa’s nephew.  Melissa and Dustin borrowed the tradition at the wedding and it was incredible to be there at such a tender moment.  I cried taking the pictures, reviewing the pictures, sorting the pictures, editing the pictures and now again while posting them.

The photo booth was a crack up…props to the guy on the right for the most creative use of a yarmulke!!

Melissa and Dustin have already seen their shots (that’s how behind this blog is!) but I will take this opportunity to thank them again for sharing their day with us.  We love fun weddings!

And a “where’s waldo” behind the scenes shot of me to leave you with…

(PS–I was SO JEALOUS of this flower girl and her amazing dress all day.  Nic spends a lot of time laughing at me because it’s never the bride’s dress that I lust after–it’s ALWAYS the flower girl’s.  My taste never evolved past second grade.)
