  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Traci. I'm a Registered Nurse who loves quilting, knitting, cross stitch, and the great outdoors. In my pre-scrubs life, I owned Real Photography, and you can still see my old wedding and portrait photography site here .

I've created a map that shows links to our camping/hiking/general family fun review posts that you can find here. It's pretty much the coolest thing on this site. Thanks, Google!

I great big puffy heart *love* comments, so please let me know you visited! I try to always reply!

the new ‘where’s eloise game’

Ellie LOVES to play the ‘where’s Eloise?’  Where she covers her eyes and I make a big show of looking for her, she uncovers her eyes and we all say ‘there she is!”  She LOVES that game and plays it every chance she gets, including dinner.  A fair bit of dinner is usually spent playing ‘where’s eh-weeze?’

Last night I was at a bachelorette party and missed dinner.  When I got home Nic informed me that Will invented a new ‘where’s eloise’ inspired by the movie Tangled, in which it goes something like “oh no!  Ellie’s a lost baby!  Where’s the lost baby?”  “There’s the lost baby—the found baby is home!”  and “is the lost baby outside?” and such spin-offs of a general ‘lost baby’ theme.

This morning after church we had one of our best breakfasts at the Egg and I since Ellie’s arrival to the scene.  She was very mellow and relaxed and we spent a long time just sitting and hanging out.  At one point she initiated a game of where’s eloise, and Will said “No!  We have a new Where’s Eloise’ game now!  It’s ‘Where’s the lost baby?’ ” and he outlined the new dialog.

Ellie is so lucky to have a 5 year old big brother to keep her favorite games fresh!
