Like all mothers, I have the occasional panic attack over the passage of time and my apparent unwittingness of it.\u00a0\u00a0 It’s made a little worse by the fact that I’m an accidental working mother.\u00a0 I worry constantly that I’m missing things that I would otherwise be really noticing.\u00a0 I’m in the business of taking pictures and sometimes weeks will go by without me turning my lens on Will!<\/p>\n

So yesterday when Will made his first real intentional drawing (he actually set out to draw a spider, and spent MINUTES on it, which is like days in Will time), I decided it was time to unpack The Big Camera for some pictures.\u00a0\u00a0 And I left it out while he made spider after spider and spider web after spider web. (See the tongue out while he concentrates?\u00a0 That’s a Nic Classic.)<\/p>\n

Then I asked Will if he’d like me to take his picture.\u00a0 He said “nope!”\u00a0 and then rolled all over the floor laughing at how funny he is.\u00a0 Cause if there’s one thing Will likes, it’s having someone take his picture!<\/p>\n

When I downloaded these pictures, it was like a giant relief.\u00a0 Because as BIG as he is, as much as I very well might be missing in my constant dash to Get Things Done, the shots of him rolling all over the floor were a total flash-back to pictures I took of him every day after his diaper changes when he was just a few months old. \u00a0 And it was like “oh!\u00a0 I haven’t<\/strong> lost that baby!\u00a0 He’s still there!”<\/p>\n
