wedding photography &#124; colorado springs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Trash the dress,&#8221; &#8220;day after,&#8221; or &#8220;second chance&#8221; shoots are a great way to get a totally different look for your wedding portraits.\u00a0 Bernadette and Haydn have been on the books for a trash the dress shoot since their wedding last September.\u00a0 We kept trying to arrange it for snow.\u00a0 But last winter was NOT the winter to be counting on snow, and winter turned to spring, spring turned to summer, summer turned to fall&#8230;and we decided to just schedule the shoot before things got super cold again.<\/p>\n<p>So of course we woke up that second weekend of October to see that snow had fallen during the night.\u00a0 And had frozen to every individual blade of grass, every individual pine needle in one of those spectacular ice displays we get every so often.\u00a0 (If anyone knows what weather conditions cause that ice effect, please tell me!\u00a0 I studied it all last year trying to figure out the common denominator for what conditions have to be in place for that gorgeous icey look and I never could figure it out well enough to predict when it might happen!)\u00a0 We crossed our fingers that the sun wouldn&#8217;t come out and melt it all away, they braved the icey roads, and we got our snow shoot after all!<\/p>\n<p>These were all taken outside our new house\/studio here in Black Forest.\u00a0 The flowers were provided by the incredibly talented Dawn of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillside-consultants.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hillside Consultants<\/a>.\u00a0 She even crafted the super cool orchid garlands that we used in this first shot!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3288\" title=\"colorado springs wedding photographer\" src=\"http:\/\/www.needlesandapen.com\/photography\/blog-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dsc_2067.jpg\" alt=\"colorado springs wedding photographer\" width=\"782\" height=\"568\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3289\" title=\"trash the dress photographer colorado springs\" src=\"http:\/\/www.needlesandapen.com\/photography\/blog-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dsc_2118.jpg\" alt=\"trash the dress photographer colorado springs\" width=\"782\" height=\"568\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3291\" title=\"colorado springs wedding photographers\" src=\"http:\/\/www.needlesandapen.com\/photography\/blog-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/dsc_2196.jpg\" alt=\"colorado springs wedding photographers\" width=\"581\" height=\"852\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Here comes my favorite shot of the day&#8230;
