Lizzie was due on Christmas Day, but she very graciously made her entrance on December 10th (a convenient Saturday, no less)!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Bernadette’s water had broken the night before, but labor hadn’t started on its own.\u00a0 Some pitocin took care of that and within a few hours she was ready for an epidural.\u00a0 After the epidural she went from 3.5cm to 9.5cm in under an hour!\u00a0\u00a0 We’d all thought we had a long day ahead of us and instead we had a baby before lunch and the hat I was knitting Lizzie was far from finished!<\/p>\n

Bernadette’s mom was there as an additional supporter,\u00a0 I just loved the emotion on her face during the delivery and you know I’m a sucker for a crying dad!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Lizzie arrived at 10:51am and there was not a dry eye in the room.\u00a0 Well, except for the doctor, but he had to see what he was doing.\u00a0 :P<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I am so jealous of the warm welcome Bernadette and Clint were able to give their sweet daughter.\u00a0 She is so lucky to have had all these people waiting in the hospital to meet her!<\/p>\n

The next day I was back to visit again.\u00a0 I got to babysit Lizzie while her parents ran down to the hospital cafeteria.\u00a0 We had a practice photoshoot and that sweet goddaughter of mine SMILED for me.\u00a0 One day old and smiling for pictures.\u00a0 She totally knew who was visiting.\u00a0 :)\u00a0 I even got to feed her a bottle of expressed milk.\u00a0 Heaven!<\/p>\n
