Larissa is pregnant!!!   Everyone that knows Larissa and Shawn is completely excited for them to become parents.  It’s been a hard won fight for them and I can’t wait until October, when Larissa will have a sweet baby boy in her arms!

There’s a field by our house that is filled with wildflowers that I’ve been dying to shoot in, and Larissa gave me free reign on picking the location of the shoot.  I learned an important lesson, though, in location scouting–get out of the car.  The field was a giant anthill and thanks to some swampy water nearby, it was swarming in mosquitoes!  (I’m itching away as I type this post!)  But the pictures turned out so well that it’s tempting to just stock up on bug spray and keep going back!

Larissa and Shawn are so sweet together.  I know they’ll make amazing parents!

The best part of photographing out in Falcon is that we get much nicer evening light out here than when we shoot closer to the mountains.  I love how soft and golden our closing shots were!

It was so much fun to get to photograph something a little different!  Thanks Larissa and Shawn!

Chloe arrived via c-section on the morning of July 13th.  I have wanted to photograph a birth for a long time, so I was very excited that Chloe waited until Monday morning to arrive!  (We had weddings Saturday and Sunday, so her arrival was perfect!)  I wasn’t allowed in the OR, but I was there when she was reunited with her mom for their first real meeting.   I came back again that evening to catch Brandon meeting his baby sister for the first time.  It was so adorable–Brandon is going to be a fantastic big brother!  And I tell you it got me sooo excited for the moment when Will will meet his own baby sister!

Here are a couple of favorites:

That afternoon when I returned to the hospital Brandon’s sweet little face as he entered the room was priceless.  He was hesitant at first, but then he rushed up to meet his sister!

Kasey and Andrew were married on July 18th at the Meadows at Marshdale.  They had the most gorgeous weather for their wedding, and it fit in perfectly with all of Kasey’s gorgeous details.  She DIYed everything, but you would have never known it–all of the details looked completely professional!

Kasey looked AMAZING, of course!!

As Kasey and Andrew walked back down the aisle after the ceremony, she bopped him over the head with her flowers.  I wasn’t close enough to hear what he’d said, but I’m pretty sure he deserved it.  ;)  The shot on the right was just a few seconds later.  I absolutely love completely candid moments that look like they’re set up portraits!

A few portraits–these two are so fun to photograph!!

I had to go super golden on this one!!

Kasey’s son Cameron was NOT impressed with me.  Even when I tried to bond over Star Wars, he still gave me the “you are so lame and your camera is lamer” look.  He was being so serious before the ceremony, that my favorite shot of him is a quiet moment:

But after the ceremony I got him running and jumping and the 6 year old goof-pot boy in him TOTALLY came out.  I love, love, LOVE this next shot:

The reception was held in the adorable red barn on the Meadows at Marshdale property.  A perfect spot for dinner!
