Kim and Shawn were married at the stunning Dunafon Castle at the end of August.  One of the bonuses of our job is getting to see so many of the amazing venues around Colorado, and Dunafon Castle is one of the coolest we’ve seen!  It was built in the 30s by a water engineer and includes a working water wheel on the property that used to power the castle.  Kim, Shawn, and their family and friends were such dreams to work with.  I loved learning more about them during the toasts and seeing how deeply loved and admired Kim and Shawn are by all those around them.  Also–don’t miss Kim’s shoes, they were a present from Shawn!  Kim’s sister Jenny is a wedding photographer and it’s always a little nerve-wracking to work with another photographer, but she couldn’t have been more gracious, so I will take a deep breath and hit ‘publish’ on this one!  ;)

This session was sooooo hard to blog because I wanted to post ALL the pics!  I had a blast with Danielle, Nic, Ava, and Cora and loved how perfectly styled they were for our wildflower sunset shoot!

I recently purchased a medium format film camera, a Contax 645 and shot a roll of Portra 400 during our shoot.  Here are a few favorites (processed by the FIND lab):

Julie and Brian were married over Labor Day weekend at a stunning ceremony in Estes Park at the Della Terra Mountain Chateau.  Their romantic engagement in Bali was reflected in the decor, which of course was awesome since Julie is a graphic designer.  The orchids and purples and teals brought the tropics to what started out was a rainy afternoon.  The outdoor ceremony was threatened many times by scattered showers, but in the end it cleared just as Julie and her dad walked out the door!  Julie is such a wonderful aunt–it was so sweet to see her light up when her niece or nephew entered the room.  Her nephew didn’t want to miss seeing all the big events, and was so cute as he tried to get good viewpoints on the ceremony and first dance.  You could tell that the adoration was equal on all sides!  Best wishes to Julie and Brian!
