it's your wedding day!

Aug 03, 2007

I love this one. The bridesmaid in the photo is Jo. She’s Australian, and every man who meets her falls in love with her…including my two boys. And she’s so wonderful, you can’t even begrudge her when your husband says “I understand why everybody loves Jo. She’s a sweetie.” :)

She was the unofficial mom (or “mum,” as she would say) of the day–asking if she could get Heather food or water, offering ME water…and generally rockin’ the world. And a word to the wise–don’t ever go kart race with her. She’ll lap you more than once.

more wedding photos

Aug 02, 2007

I’m sneaking these into my day one or two at a time. :)

The boys wore brown suits, and it looked very cool. We saw another
wedding party at Gasworks Park while we were taking pictures, and we
all agreed we looked way better than they did. ;) That and we could
definitely take them in a fight. The shortest guy in our wedding party
was 6’1″. It was like a wedding party of basketball players.

I told Heather and Erik that I’m going to do this pose again with them when they have an ultrasound photo to share (but unfortunately for Will, that is going to be a ways off)! :)

seeing the light

Aug 01, 2007

Whew! I’ve been burning the candle at both ends since we got home Monday night in an attempt to get caught up…and I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hurray! If there are any clients out there that are waiting to hear from me about something and don’t have an email in their inbox, shoot me a note, because I’m pretty sure I’ve got everyone covered!

Here’s another photo from Heather and Erik’s wedding:

Wedding ring photos are so much fun–there are thousands of creative ways to display them. I’d seen a pose similar to this before Heather and Erik’s wedding and wanted to try something similar, but it was Heather’s idea to use the phrase “take this ring.” I love it, because not only does it work perfectly for the photo, but Heather and Erik both memorized their vows for the ceremony, and even though they pulled it off perfectly, it’s cute to imagine them writing it on their hands to cheat.

Heather’s ring was their grandmother’s wedding ring. They took it into a jeweler to have it repaired, but the band ended up having to be completely recreated. The jeweler did an amazing job with the detail and it’s absolutely beautiful.
