birthday buddies

This little guy and I are not only cousins, we’re birthday buddies. We share the same birthday…just nineteen years apart. While in Seattle, I shot a session with my extended family, but they’ve been having to patiently await any sneak peeks, since my clients are first in line. Sorry guys!

So here’s one of my birthday buddy…

And his baby sister. Who came just days from being my guy’s birthday buddy!

I even snatched a couple of her smiling…though I’m pretty sure she would deny it. To prove otherwise…

(There should be zero doubt now about which side of the family my little one’s bluer than blue eyes come from!)

I’d been very nervous about this session, because I knew that Aimee’s oldest son was autistic, and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to get good portraits of him. I shouldn’t have been worried, though–he’s a very sweet boy, who, after a little time, was even flashing some smiles.

When I got home and saw these on my computer, I was thrilled and I’m happy to say that Aimee was, too! Logan has never had a professional portrait taken before, so these are his first!

a good big brother

I was so impressed with Nathan at our session. He is such a good big brother to his baby sister, and wonderfully caring with his autistic older brother. Not to mention the fact that he is a very good model…all it took was one photo to get this:
