Stephanie and Geoff are one of the sweetest couples we’ve worked with.  Their engagement shoot was scheduled for shortly after the fire, and Steph contacted me during the evacuation offering to cancel or reschedule the shoot.  They extended so much empathy, understanding that even though we were one of the lucky ones it was still a logistically and emotionally difficult time.  I was anxious to get back to work, so I didn’t take them up on the offer, but Steph’s email was one of those that touched me greatly, which meant that I was super excited that we had such fun dramatic light to play with at their shoot!  This shoot goes in my favorites!  I brought the film camera along and shot a couple of bonus black and whites during their shoot–I love the look of black and white film!

I finally got to photograph Lauren and Matt!  They were another casualty of this spring’s terrible weather, but the rescheduling was worth it because we ended up with a great evening.  Lauren is so pretty–it’s like photographing a Disney princess with those gorgeous big eyes, beautiful skin and amazing hair!

After a spring of challenging weather I was thrilled that we had beautiful weather for Holden and Kelly’s engagement portraits, as our collective travel plans meant we couldn’t reschedule!  They were such naturals in front of the camera and rocked all of the little interactions.  I only needed to put them in a pretty spot and they did the rest!  I can’t wait for their wedding in August and another chance to photograph these cuties!
