The day after Christmas found me at Washington Park in Denver, so grateful the snow from the previous week had stuck around!  Here’s a peek at one of the cute families I photographed that day!

For a holiday week I’ve been shooting a ton! On Tuesday I met Karissa and Calvin for their engagement shoot in the snow. Karissa has fantastic style and braved the cold winter scene in formal attire!

I know it looks like Karissa is the hero of the shoot with her formal dress in the snow, but Calvin is the unsung hero…Karissa had knee high boots to protect her feet, but Calvin was tromping through 8 inches of snow in dress shoes! We decided his best bet on the drive home would be to go without his wet shoes. He also floated the idea of skipping his pants, too, since they were wet, but I declined to see if he followed through with that threat. :P

Nothing like a little hypothermia to create genuine laughter!

We wrapped up the shoot with some family pictures with their daughter. She was a few hours behind on sleep and not feeling up to a ton of photos, but I know we’ll catch lots of fun pictures with her on the wedding day!

Miss Chloe finished out her set of first year portraits this weekend with her 12 month/Christmas shoot!

How cute is Chloe in her little Santa dress?!!  It was incredibly cold this weekend, so I was prepared with some fun in studio stuff for her portraits!

(Warning to anyone trying this at home, these old fashioned Christmas light strands get old fashioned warm, so make sure to only keep them on for about 20 seconds before turning them off, cooling them all the way down, and then repeating.)

I am going to miss seeing Chloe, Courtney, and Chris regularly!  It was such a blast capturing Chloe’s first year!
